J.K. Rowling has written seven Harry Potter books, starting with Harry Potter & The Philosopher's Stone (Sorcerer's Stone in North America) in 1997, and ending in 2007 with Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows. All seven books have been turned into films, with Deathly Hallows split into two films. The films, like the books, proved hugely successful.

2016 saw two Harry Potter spin-offs. A play, Harry Potter & The Cursed Child, premiered in June 2016, and a book followed in July 2016 (and who would bet against a film, sometime in the next few years!). Then, in November 2016, the first in a planned trilogy of Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them films was released, with the second and third films scheduled to follow at two yearly intervals. In October 2016, it was confirmed the trilogy has been extended to five films.

I started collecting Harry Potter autographs in 2002, around the time of the second film Harry Potter & The Chamber Of Secrets, and I now have over 500 autographs from more than 270 different people.
